God reaches out to you in every way possible

bnf0422There are many times in your life you may think all is lost and there is no one to turn to. There are times when you feel you’ve lost all faith in God and yourself, that there is nothing left within you to keep you carrying on. But still within, you hear a voice crying dot give up and you have a feeling it will get better or at least you have a spark of hope that wont let you go. That voice, that spark of hope is God trying to get through to you, he is trying to get you to open your eyes to the hope and faith still deep within you. Sometimes the voice may not come from within you but out of a mouth of a friend, family member and a lot of the times a stranger. God reaches out to you in every way possible because he doesn’t want to lose you, for to god we are all special and loved.

bnf0424If you just hang in there a little longer and let go of the fear that grips your heat you will see the faith you thought was weakened and or lost. It was in you the whole time and you will also see that you were never alone during the whole ordeal, We all go through times of doubt, weak faith and times we believe we’ve lost our faith. It is part of living in this world and a part of life’s many lessons. God gave us friends, spouses and family to accompany us through life and be there to help us when we fall. They act as messengers, helpers and teachers in our life and they bring into our lives what God knows we need.

Walk in faith , Live with a spirit of Hope and not with a spirit of fear.

Each time, the answer would be no! I was committed.

When i was young,….i never gave much thought about being obligated, or committed. I was carefree, and much like a free spirit,…or at least that’s what others have told me. Even when I married at nineteen,…i am not really sure

The Unequal Marriage

I thought about the seriousness of being married. I did have the belief though, that once you were married,…you were married.

It was very rough going, the first few months of marriage. There were times that i wanted to go back home, and be carefree again, and a free spirit. I had even discussed with my parents, about returning home. My parents always let me know, that i would be welcome to come back home, but they also told me to give it a lot of thought first. So i would, and i would always decide to stay, because there was just something that would not let me give up. I could not just walk away. I was committed to my marriage!

In the years to come, there would be some rough spots. Times, when i wanted to throw in the towel, and quit. Each time, i would examine my life, and ask myself if i could really give up, and walk away. Each time, the answer would be no! I was committed.

Now, it has been nearly thirty-five years, that I have been married, and i find i am more committed than ever, to my marriage. But, it has not only been myself, that has been committed, it has also been my husband. We have worked together, side by side all of these years, to be committed to each other. It is as if we both share one heart, and one mind. We are two halves, that form one whole. It is such a gift from God, to have this kind of commitment. This kind of love! I thank God, for the wonderful gift He gave us.

My prayer is that everyone may also have the gift of love and commitment in their lives.

Change our focus back on God as well as the family.

There are so many unhappy, lonely and lost people out in the world. Some have the perfect mate, job or financial situation but still they are searching for something or someone. They get caught up in the illusion something external is going to make the happy or fill the emptiness inside. The only one who can make you happy or fill that void within besides yourself is God. You have to make the choice to be happy before you can find happiness, you must choose to love yourself before anyone else can love you. You must accept the love of God and start a personal relationship with him before the void will be filled.  You can have the perfect husband or wife and still feel the loneliness and the emptiness of the void within. It isn’t that your mate isn’t the right one, It more than likely the lack of a personal relationship with God. Even people who go to church every Sabbath and read the bible each day can still need to have a personal relationship with God.

God will help those who help themselves basically says that you have to make the first move in faith and God will be right beside you helping you along the way. In this modern world we focus too much on how much money we can make, what kind of clothes, gadgets and toys we can buy for ourselves and our children. We lost the closeness of family and we need to change our focus back on God as well as the family. The stress of keeping up with the Joneses or the Smiths keeps us so distracted from God and the family. We must remember we should live our lives for God first then the family and lastly for ourselves.  When we put other things and people before God we cease to worship god and begin worshiping materialism and the self. God wants us to be happy and have things but he wants us to do so in his honor and for his glory not our own.  This is where the emptiness comes from, when we tend to put other things before God, when we do that we close the door inside our hearts and minds to God’s love. That’s the pit, the emptiness, the lack of his love within us.

God, Family then the self.  The order in which things are needed to be done.

We must put faith in the spirit God gave us.

p10131Insecurity, something most of us face in one way or another. Some have insecurities about their relationships or their own body image. Some have insecurities about their social status and or their jobs. Regardless of what kind of insecurity you face it is a roadblock to happiness and a successful life. Insecurity is just a form of fear, a fear of failure or a fear of being less than you need/want to be. Fear is something we must learn to overcome and master for it can rule your life and keep you in an unhappy state. It is very hard to live a life full of fear and/or insecurities. Acceptance, Faith, Hope and self-discipline are the direct enemies of both fear and insecurities.  The best route to overcoming both insecurity and fear is to learn how to embrace hope, learn to have faith in God as well as yourself and to practice self-discipline. God gives us a spirit of hope and power not of fear, the world lies to us and convinces us we have no hope and we can not conquer fear. We must put faith in the spirit God gave us and not put in the lies of our world we live in. To be honest I think we put too much value on some pretty petty and materialistic ideals, to own all the riches of this world may give you temporary gratification but nothing in this world is permanent so there is no real worth to anything in this world but for what God gives us. The love, Peace of mind and happiness God gives us will be with us for eternity and the things of this world will turn to dust in the end.

God gives us the power,a sound mind and most of all a spirit of hope.

We need to reignite that fire of compassion and charity within our hearts.

MP900399589  When I was young we knew our neighbors, we helped each other out and we were more about the community than ourselves. When my Grandparents were young the people of their time were all about helping each other and the community. Now days it’s all about getting the newest electronic gadget or the newest car. The focus has changed, it’s becoming more of a self-centered society than a community minded one. There is nothing wrong with taking care of your own and having some nice things in life but to see a neighbor in need and walk on by is a sin in my book. I try to remember if I had just made one choice wrong I could have been that hobo sleeping in the woods or the neighbor who lost everything in a fire. In a split second you can go from being prosperous to being needy.

There are still good and kind-hearted people out there, some still help others, some just got too wrapped up in modern life and forgot who and what they are. We all get lost in the madness and stress of this busy fast paced world of ours. We need to slow down if not stop once in a while to smell the roses and take a look around us. We need to get back to being neighborly and begin thinking with a community based mentality. We need to remember that needy person we just walked by could easily have been us or one of our loved ones. We need to reignite that fire of compassion and charity within our hearts.

Greed, Selfishness and fear are roadblocks to having a kind and compassionate heart.

In God’s Own Time

God, the Father watches us all everywhere.

I remember as a little girl….I was very impatient. I did not like to wait for anything! If I wanted to go somewhere, I wanted to go right then. If I wanted a certain toy, I wanted it right then. I remember feeling very disappointed, when I did not get what I wanted, when I wanted it. I could not understand why, I could not have what I wanted, when I wanted it.

As I began to get older, I started to understand why, I could not have things when i wanted them. Some times, it was due to lack of money to buy them, and sometimes it was because the things that I wanted, may have not been best for me to have at that time.

I learned,….that God has a way of making everything work together, and at the right time. He gives to us exactly what we need, when we need it the most. He sees and knows what we need, even before we realize what it is that we need. He also knows the precise time, to provide us with what we need. Whether it be a comforting word, or a loving touch, at the exact time that we need it. He sees, and knows.

So, through the many trials in this life,…i have learned to rely on the Lord, and to trust Him. He has always given to me, exactly what i needed, at the very second that i needed it. He has always been right on time. In God’s own time.

The war was won from the first hint of faith and spark of hope

Corcovado jesus

Look in the mirror and all I see is a reflection of the outer me. Look within my heart, mind and soul then I see the me that no one truly knows. The battle between the real me and what this world tells me to be is a constant war for which will prevail. The inner me wont surrender but the world is bigger and comes at me from every direction. The battle was won and was lost all in the instant I came aware of my existence. I do not stand alone, I do not fight this war for just my own self. There is one who stands by me and every woman, man and child who calls upon him.

If you stand against insurmountable odds and an enemy whom you can not defeat remember the words “He that is in me is greater than thee”.

The war was won from the first hint of faith and spark of hope, the war was one by the grace of our lord Jesus Christ.

Time to be focused on the big picture which we play a big part in.

Hands of Homeless Man Receiving Bowl of Soup --- Image by © Royalty-Free/CorbisEach one of us are brothers and sisters here on our great blue world. Though we all have different religious beliefs, political views and philosophies we all have the same desire to live peacefully and to provide our children a better life than what we had. We must realize that the natural resources we took for granted is dwindling and there is a need to find new sources of energy, new ways to have clean water and eventually new ways of producing food.  With our population growth and the distribution of food, clean water and wealth in this world being so out of balanced there is a lot of work to be done to make this a better world for all. If we applied ourselves as a species to the task of wiping out hunger and the improvement of living conditions across our planet, it would be a task that could be completed. But to enact or create change on a global scale takes a global effort. The improvement of our planet is something that will require some sacrifices from all of us, but if done as a global effort those sacrifices would be small and probably unnoticed.

MP900289198 The question remains is if our species is capable of putting all its differences aside for the welfare of all people and this planet we are blessed to live on.  Can we put behind us the years of mistrust, hatred, misunderstandings and misinformation in order to make a better world? I believe we can if we focus on what is really important and we find away to put all our differences and disputes behind us. We should focus on changing our world for the good of all living things and the conservation of the natural resources including the forests and wildlife. It is time to stop being focused on ourselves and time to be focused on the big picture which we play a big part in.

Greed, Lust for power and fear are the main roadblocks we face in creating a better world for ourselves and future generations.

A True Friend

dd43853
A TRUE friend,….is a gift from God.

A TRUE friend,….will stop their own work, to give to you, their precious time.

A TRUE friend,….offers you sound advice.

A TRUE friend……tries to fix your problems.

A TRUE friend……will always listen to you, even when they think you are silly.

A TRUE friend…….will laugh with you.

A TRUE friend……..will cry with you.

A TRUE friend………will tell you when you are doing wrong.

A TRUE friend……….will argue with you sometimes, and not be angry.

A TRUE friend……….will sit beside you without speaking, when they know you are too sad to talk.

A TRUE friend………Treats you like family, because to them,…you ARE family.

A TRUE friend……….a true friend lifts you up, when you are down.

A TRUE friend………reminds you of what God says.

A TRUE friend………is a part of you.

A TRUE friend……..will love you forever.

A TRUE friend………is a gift from God.

Being Content With What You Have

3rd quarter of 16th century

I feel so happy, with what the Lord has given me. He has given me so much more than what i deserve. He has given me salvation, through His precious Son, Jesus. He has given me family, and friends. He has given me a roof, over my head. He has given me food, to eat. He has provided for all my needs, and given me many blessings. He has also made my cup of joy, runneth over! I have been blessed with contentment. So much so, that it makes my heart sing!

When i was young,…like most young people,…i thought i needed “things”, to be happy. Through the years,…i found what true happiness meant,…and it was certainly not about “things”. It is about being loved, and cared for by my Savior, and loved by precious family, and friends. Family, and friends, are our treasures God gives to us. It makes our lives so full! It makes me cry sometimes, because i feel so happy! So many gifts that the Lord, gives to us.

My life is not perfect,…there are still struggles along the road of life,…but i truly could not ask, for more than i have now. When you have been given the very best,…what more COULD you ask for? I thank, and praise God’s holy name, for being happy and content with all that i have!

Family, and friends, are our treasures God gives to us.
