Devotion

I would just like to share one of my devotions.

Read Exodus 3-5

But Moses said to God “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt” – Exodus 3:11

Rhema: This is one of the great stories on the bible of how God used Moses to save the Israelites from the slavery of Egypt.
There will always come a time when we question our capabilities, if we can do this or not. “Can I really do this?” I think I’m not the best” “I’m just an average person” “I’m too old or I’m too young” – those are just part of excuses when face with challenges or trials. Those things paralyze us from doing greater things. But the Lord assured us, “I call you for a greater purpose.” Everything that happens on our life was part His great plan on our lives.

Reflection: “O Lord I have never been eloquent neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant I am slow of speech and tongue – Exodus 4:10

Sometimes God is calling us but because of our numerous excuses, we refused to His calling. I used to be like this. I used my excuses to paralyze my system. But then I realized that I won’t grow if I’ll let these excuses eat my system. I begin to realize that God created me to become the best on His eyes. So I know that there’s no room for excuses ‘coz God has greater plan on my life.

Motivation: “Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say” – Exodus 4:12 “I will be with you” Exodus 3:12

God always assures us that He’s at our side. That He won’t leave us nor forsake us. When venturing new thing, I used to have a lot of fears. But when I had a change of perspective on everything, I begin to realize that God is with me as long as I glorify and acknowledge Him in everything that I do.

Application: We are more than conquerors. It’s time to turn our weaknesses into strength. Stop making excuses because we’re all born for this!

God bless everyone! I missed blogging here (Please do check my personal blog http://amaeguerrero.wordpress.com)

Rich or poor, strong or weak

p10056Success, what is true success? Is the person who has all the money and possessions they could want successful or is it the person who has what he needs, a family whom they love and happiness from that love? Me personally, I would choose being happy and surrounded by love than all the riches or power of this world. I guess it boils down to ones point of view and perspective on life. To me being rich only opens one up to be a target for trouble and removes one from the reality of being human. One becomes so distracted and overwhelmed by greed and lust for power that they lose their sense of humanity and fairness. They can become self-absorbed, selfish and that leads to elitism which only creates the illusion we are of different classes and statures.

This is not to say their isn’t any financially wealthy people out there that are good-hearted or compassionate, it just is to say when money becomes more important than the lives of others then what humanity one has becomes diminished.  Individuality is not the division of the whole, it is the recognition of the differences within the parts that make the whole what it is. We must not forget we are a part of the whole of humanity.  Rich or poor, strong or weak, we are all a part of this great race we call humanity and we should take care of the needs of our fellow humans.

live a kind life and be kindhearted

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Live with Authority, speak in authority, do all you do with authority and for God. Be kind, live a kind life and be kindhearted for that is what God wants all of us to be. Love and live life in his love, love others through him and let them feel the love God has for all. Be rid of fear and do not spread fear for it is the work of the devil. Fear keeps us from serving God more than it does anything else. Spread the Gospel (Good News) so everyone can know of God’s love for us all.  Accept the gifts and blessings God give you and be thankful for all you have received.

God Bless you all.

What is the key to success?

Reblogged from amaeguerrero:

I got a simple solution: Doing what is more than required. No one can pay off hard work and effort. Even bunch of money cannot tantamount to it. So the only way to smell the sweet aroma of success is the willingness to do what is more than required. It is the willingness of doing the best. It is the willingness of excelling in your field.

Turning the Impossible into Possibility

Reblogged from faith1stministry:

… If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.—Mark 9:23 (KJV)

Can you believe God? Can you hold on to the promise of His Word? Regardless of the circumstance, that is what we as Believers have to do and it is what the Lord expects us to do. Otherwise, what is the alternative, failure and defeat?

Try to do the right thing if possible

IMG_1254To love one another, to be as brothers and sisters wanting nothing but each others company and friendship. This is how we are supposed to be and some of us do value such and try to live in such a manner. The problem is the self/id/ego tends to get in the way, we value our individuality so much we tend to forget the unity we are meant to have with one another. A person may stand alone, but when that person falls there is no one there to help them up or try to catch them. We should be caring, compassionate and loving towards ourselves and others regardless of the differences we have as a species. God commands us to love one another and that is not limited to fellow Christians but also to all other humans regardless of religious beliefs or lack of belief. We may not have to love their choices or their sins, but we are to love them. For their choices and sins are between them and God not between us and them. Leave the Judging, condemnation and punishments to God who is the only true Judge and be forgiving, understanding and full of the love God gave you.

Don’t let your personal desires, feelings and convictions affect anyone besides your own self. Try to avoid letting anger or self interests to control your actions and try to do the right thing if possible. For we all are sinners and have sinned therefore none of us are worthy of the kingdom of god without his loving grace. No person is greater or lesser than another, no one is without fault or sin. So love one another as equals, love one another as family and give thanks for the grace we all have received.

Look within your own mind and heart and see the sins and transgressions you have committed before you go pointing fingers at your brothers and sisters shortcomings. Remember we are all in this together and not one of us stands above or below another. Bless one another and be good to one another

We are to serve God, not our own selves

Why is it we have such a hard time trying to be brotherly/sisterly to one another? As children of God we are supposed to be compassionate, caring, loving and not judgmental. We seem to cling on to the fleshly desire of serving ourselves and following our own will than serving God an his will. Out lusts, greed and our drive to be successful in the world seems to come before our spiritual needs. We are to serve God, not our own selves and when we do something we are to do it as if we are doing it for God himself. We are to forgive and bless not only our friends or family but even enemies and those who we call strangers.

This world is set up to keep you trapped in a consumer minded maze of living hand to mouth with little money to save nor time to enjoy with friends and family. We focus too much on what we can buy for our loved ones and even for ourselves and less on the fellowship and companionship we should be enjoying. We lost the sense of what loving each other as spiritual brothers and sisters is all about. We need to focus on God’s will and the love he wants us to share with one another.

Concern yourself not of the sins of others, for their sins are something that is between them and God. Forgive those who need forgiving and bless not only friends and family, but enemies and strangers as well. We are to love and be supportive of one another.

Not only hear you but listen and surrender to your will

Cristo Redentor, the famous Christ the Redeeme...

I see your face everywhere I go, I feel your love even in those I do not know. I long for the peace you bring and the tranquility within the love you give. The wisdom you share is beyond my mortal minds ability to find on its own. The grace you give us is so profound it is rarely fully understood. The love and compassion you taught is still practiced by some and longed for by many. The wondrous world I live in shows signs of your greatness and of your existence.

Some misunderstand your message and others seek out the true meaning of your teachings. There are those who seek war in your name and fail to see that you taught compassion and love not hate. Humanity’s blindness keeps them from living together and loving one another. We should try to work together to become the kind of people you want us to be. We shouldn’t judge one another or hate one another because of differences in belief or culture. We love, but the love we have is but a reflection of the ultimate love you have and show to us. We fail to see the freewill you granted us is for all people, regardless of nationality, religious belief or social status and only you can give it or take it away.

If we could just learn to accept and embrace your love, only if we could see the big picture and not be deceived by our small personal view of things. Just think how different this world would be, how much happier we all would become and ultimately how far we as a species could go. I guess we all need to get over ourselves and learn to not only hear you but listen and surrender to your will.

Keep faith, Embrace his love and grace. Be like a mirror and reflect both on others.

Another Year has come to an end

An emoticon with a smile. For more emoticons i...

Another Year has come to an end, many things may have come to pass within this year, some were great others were not so good. But the good news is we made it through another year through this hectic and semi-chaotic world of ours. Now people will make new years resolutions they will try hard to keep and probably wont. The best way to make this new year a better one is to choose to make a change within yourself. Choose to be kinder, happier, friendlier and to forgive as well as to try to be understanding towards one another. Changing the core of who you are and how you view and interact with the world around you is the key to making changes elsewhere in your life.

We here at Transient Reflections / One lifetime Blog and Barbier Family Blog want to wish all of you a Happy, Productive new year full of personal growth and happiness.

Happy New Years!!!!!!

A few words of kindness

IMG_1077A few kind words can go a long way, it can brighten up someone’s dreary day, boost confidence and even forge new relationships and strengthen old ones. The time it takes to say a few words of kindness or encouragement is just a few seconds and it can change ones day of not their life in some cases. We all want to be noticed, appreciated and occasionally told things are going to be alright or will get better.  Being kind to one another and being either inspiring or encouraging is all part of fellowship and part of being a Christian. Seems a lot of Christians get stuck on the judging and condemning of others and forget its compassion, love, charity and kindness it what we as Christians are supposed to do and encourage in others.  We are here to help one another not to condemn ridicule or judge others. No man or woman who walks this earth is perfect or free of sin or a sinful heart. Without the Grace of God and the Salvation through Christ, none of us would be able to enter the kingdom of God.

So speak words of kindness and encouragement to one another and do good for one another. We are all in this world together so we should do the best we can to make this life full of kindness, love and happiness.
