Try to do the right thing if possible

IMG_1254To love one another, to be as brothers and sisters wanting nothing but each others company and friendship. This is how we are supposed to be and some of us do value such and try to live in such a manner. The problem is the self/id/ego tends to get in the way, we value our individuality so much we tend to forget the unity we are meant to have with one another. A person may stand alone, but when that person falls there is no one there to help them up or try to catch them. We should be caring, compassionate and loving towards ourselves and others regardless of the differences we have as a species. God commands us to love one another and that is not limited to fellow Christians but also to all other humans regardless of religious beliefs or lack of belief. We may not have to love their choices or their sins, but we are to love them. For their choices and sins are between them and God not between us and them. Leave the Judging, condemnation and punishments to God who is the only true Judge and be forgiving, understanding and full of the love God gave you.

Don’t let your personal desires, feelings and convictions affect anyone besides your own self. Try to avoid letting anger or self interests to control your actions and try to do the right thing if possible. For we all are sinners and have sinned therefore none of us are worthy of the kingdom of god without his loving grace. No person is greater or lesser than another, no one is without fault or sin. So love one another as equals, love one another as family and give thanks for the grace we all have received.

Look within your own mind and heart and see the sins and transgressions you have committed before you go pointing fingers at your brothers and sisters shortcomings. Remember we are all in this together and not one of us stands above or below another. Bless one another and be good to one another

A few words of kindness

IMG_1077A few kind words can go a long way, it can brighten up someone’s dreary day, boost confidence and even forge new relationships and strengthen old ones. The time it takes to say a few words of kindness or encouragement is just a few seconds and it can change ones day of not their life in some cases. We all want to be noticed, appreciated and occasionally told things are going to be alright or will get better.  Being kind to one another and being either inspiring or encouraging is all part of fellowship and part of being a Christian. Seems a lot of Christians get stuck on the judging and condemning of others and forget its compassion, love, charity and kindness it what we as Christians are supposed to do and encourage in others.  We are here to help one another not to condemn ridicule or judge others. No man or woman who walks this earth is perfect or free of sin or a sinful heart. Without the Grace of God and the Salvation through Christ, none of us would be able to enter the kingdom of God.

So speak words of kindness and encouragement to one another and do good for one another. We are all in this world together so we should do the best we can to make this life full of kindness, love and happiness.

I’m Free

“So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.” Galatians 4:7

God is really with me :) I love my devotion today. Last week was just another struggle of my life as a Christian. I wasn’t able to attend on almost all of my commitments in church  mainly because of the worldy things over powering my lifestyle. (The spirit is willing but the body is weak)

I let the online world slaves my system which cause me not to attend my commitments. It consumed my entire time without bearing productive fruits. But don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame neither our internet connection nor the online world for my struggle. It was all because of me. That I let my body rules my spirit in which I know that my spirit should always rule my body.

Today’s devotion tells me not to let wordly things rule my life. Since I am free.

Yes, I learned another lesson. Thank you God.

The visionaries, leaders and world changers of today and tomorrow.

tpl00015The compromise of who you are is not acceptable. Your core values, your feelings, your dreams are all a part of what makes you the person you are and you shouldn’t betray them or yourself. Stand for what you believe in, have integrity and be who you are and don’t change the core of who you are. Individuality and individual thought is a rarity in the modern world because society craves conformity and single-mindedness. Society doesn’t know that it is cutting its nose spite its face by being so single-minded and uniform. By removing individuality and individual / independent thought you oppress the visionaries, leaders and world changers of today and tomorrow.

Discover who you are by being a free thinking individualist and do not conform to the norm for you are  who and what  God has made you to be.

We are to use our words to heal and to encourage.

p10058Using words as weapons is not the Christian thing to do, instead we are to use our words to heal and to encourage. Using foul language not only is offensive to others it also degrades ones character and gives a pretty negative  image of yourself for others to see. If you wag your tongue with ought any Discretion or thought to what damage may be done, then you will have to reap the seeds you have sown. Better to follow the bibles guideline and let everything you say be good and helpful. The words you say are the reflection of what is in your heart and on your mind.  Think before you speak and avoid letting out those words of anger.

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Ephesians 4:29 NLT

We are striving to be Christ like

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

At times in our life as Christians we will be attacked because of our faith / beliefs. There are some who resent us because we believe in something greater and higher than humanity. They dislike that we strive to walk in faith and with Jesus. Then there is those who are Christians that attack others because of their beliefs and that is not the right path of a Christian. That battle is not our , that battle is for the father, son and the holy spirit / ghost. When we as Christians attack other religions or doctrines we become an instrument of anger and hate which is not what Jesus taught. Yes, we are supposed to teach of the scriptures and offer aid in helping others to come to Christ but we are not to be angry and judgmental people.  To have a debate with believers of other religions and / or faiths is good but it must be done in a peaceful and respectful manner. For we are to try to teach the word of God and spread the Good News of the new testament. We are not supposed to be violent, angry or someone who persecutes others for all of humanity belongs to our father and we should treat all of them as so. If someone you are testifying to becomes negative, angry and or disrespectful then it is time to turn your cheek to their abusive nature and leave in peace praying for their hearts and souls to see the truth.

The bottom line is we are Christians that means we are striving to be Christ like, Christ was peaceful and only rose to anger once when he saw his father’s house being used as a shameful money exchange and for profit. So we too should be at peace with others, we should also be very vocal about our dislike of the use of the church for profit of any kind. We should love all our brothers and sisters regardless if they are Christian or not. We should forgive those who attack our faith  for  God has forgiven us therefore we should forgive others.

Love your brothers and sisters, forgive in the way you have been forgiven,  be at peace with all, walk in faith and walk in Christ and give aid to those in need,  help those whom are weak and those that can not help themselves.

Never turn away a brother or sister

Our Lord Jesus Christ

By helping those in need we help our own selves as well, acts of kindness towards others builds a gentle spirit within. By learning to have compassion for all living things we also learn to be more understanding towards our own shortcomings and negative attributes. Love, kindness and compassion are like muscles, the more you exercise them the stronger they become. The greatest reward one can receive in return for being compassionate, loving and kindhearted is to see those you help smile and to be happy. Seeing happiness in others always spawns happiness within myself, to know I was apart of helping someone to be happy is such a great honor and inspires me to help even more people. I find happiness in the happiness and joyousness of those around me, to put the happiness of others before my own is the way I choose to live. It isn’t neglecting my own happiness, it is seeing the welfare of others as a higher priority than my selfish wants. I have learned in my lifetime that everybody has problems, demons and crosses to bear in life. To walk alone through life facing all those things is a very hard road to travel, but to receive help from others lightens both your load and theirs. To help each other through life is the right way to live your life. It is a sign of strength and wisdom when a person is willing to accept help from others, to believe you are an island or rock is an illusion that will keep you from becoming the great person you are destined to become. Friends, Family and the people who love you are the things that makes you strong, without them you are alone and easy prey for the enemy. Fellowship is a key component to a good Christian life, through fellowship God’s will and power is amplified. Through fellowship we can achieve so much more than when we walk alone serving God and together we can stand so much stronger for we have the help of each other to rely upon.

Being humble, selfless and focused upon the welfare of others is what a Christian should be, by serving the community, other human beings we serve God. By doing such things for the least in the world you are doing such things for God. We are supposed to as Christians help those who are weak, defenseless, needy and unable to help themselves. Why so many get wrapped up or trapped into the persecution of sinners and non believers while neglecting their needs and helping to spread the kindness, love and compassion of God is beyond me. We are not here to be Judges, we are here to be servants and messengers of God along with being helpers of all humanity. We are to dislike the sin but love the sinner, for if we can not love someone else who sins and forgive them, then how is God supposed to do the same for us? All sin is forgivable except for blasphemy of the holy spirit, so why some focus on one of the forgivable sins and push the idea that by doing it you will burn in hell but not focusing on the others is basically a biased doctrine. If you are going to start a war upon sin you must do so on all sin not just the one that you find the most repulsive or unacceptable. For there is no difference between a liar, thief, adulterer, fornicator or any other sinner. They are all sins and they all lead to damnation with out the salvation God offers through our Lord Jesus Christ. Most sinners know they are sinning and do not need to be reminded of such or of the consequences of the sin, they need to hear the good news that they can turn from sin and be saved through Jesus Christ. By knowing God and Jesus loves them and is always with them and that they are forgiven they will be more likely to accept the salvation and seek to overcome their sins. If they accept Jesus or not is a personal choice God has given them and everyone else, we are to respect their choice along with God’s will to allow them that choice. We only can offer them the scripture and the way to salvation, if they refuse it we should pray for them and let them know the door is always open for them to come to God through Jesus Christ. Never turn away a brother or sister no matter what sin they fall to, they are still God’s children and we should treat them as such.

The Sinful and the Saved are both children of God, We should treat all of our brothers and sister as such. We should remember we all were sinners before we accepted the salvation God gave us through his only begotten son Jesus.

All of the Bible and the Whole Message

65242I have noticed in my lifetime that there are several ways to preach or spread the gospel. One is the hell and damnation style, this is where your main focus is to scare the living daylights out of the listeners by focusing on the wages of sin. Then there is the Good news style where you preach mostly on the salvation through Christ and the grace he has given us all. There is also a newer one that is all prosperity, unfortunately I have noticed some of the prosperity preachers prospering way too much off their ministry. There is also the Faith focused style as well, Faith is an important part of being a Christian so it is another good choice. Personally I prefer the Good news style though they all serve their purposes, probably a mix of all the styles would be the best way to preach. If you stick to one extreme or another you may leave the congregation with only half of what they need to be a good Christian. There is probably many other styles of preaching / teaching the gospel I haven’t covered or seen as of yet. I just believe we should teach all of the bible and the whole message and not just parts. Well this is just my humble opinion take it for what it is…

Through Christ we have salvation, through faith we have hope.

What matters is how I act and how I treat others

002The night is coming to an end and the morning is about to begin. The sleepiness is fading with my first cup of coffee as I reflect on things from the day before. I have realized it doesn’t matter what others think about me and what others may say. What matters is how I act and how I treat others through out my life. I also found out that no matter what you do you will never meet the expectations or standards others set for you. All you can do is be yourself and do your best at what ever you do, be good and kind to others in hopes that they will return the kindness.  I also found there are several types of friends, there are acquaintances, colleagues, fair weather friends and real / close friends. The hardest to find of course are those that are close / real friends, they are the ones that tell you how it is when needed but always stick by you through good times and bad.

One must always be true to themselves and be the best person that they can be. Superficial things such as good looks, wealth and social statuses are fleeting and hallow in substance. Self love, compassion and the desire to improve ones self are almost as important as showing compassion, love and charity to others. If we can not love ourselves and / or show compassion to ourselves then how are we able to share those things with others.

Be true to yourself, Be compassionate, loving, be understanding and have forgiveness for everyone including your self.
