Thank you for being a part of my life

006To all my readers, friends, family and extended family, I pray that you have a merry Christmas. I also pray that in the new year to come you find peace within yourself, love for all living things including yourself. May you be guided by the hand of god and may his love fill your heart and lives. Know that I love every single one of you and that I know I have been blessed to have all of you in my life. I know I may not always have expressed how much you meant to me in the past because like everyone else I allowed the madness of modern life to keep me from the people and things that matter most. Thank you for being a part of my life and may God bless you all.

I know many of you will never see or read this post but I know within my heart you will feel it within your heart.

Merry Christmas to All

Really needs to be rekindled in our hearts.

006bWith Christmas right around the corner and the economy still in an unstable state seems we worry more about the finances than the family. So what you may not be able to buy the newest game system, tablet or any other high dollar gift, it isn’t about the cost of the gift nor is it important to try to keep up with the neighbors. When I was growing up there was no worrying about if I got a gift just like the neighbor kids, we were just happy to get something and to be with family. Nowadays seems Christmas gifts have to be several hundred dollars or even thousands at times, the spirit of Christmas is more about the presents for the kids today than God, Jesus or even the family. I feel we all have lost focus on the reason for the season. I don’t blame the parents, they just want their children to have the best and all the things we didn’t have as children. The cost of presents means little, it is the focus on the family and the celebration of the birth of our savior that really needs to be rekindled in our hearts.

Well hope all of you have a happy holiday season, Merry Christmas and even a happy new year.

God Bless

Share your love and kindle hope in others and most of all keep the faith.

p10114 With the Holidays season upon us it is once again time to think about friends and family as well as the less fortunate people of the world. We should not only be thankful for our own blessings, we should be bringing blessings and joy to others. The gift of love goes a long way as well as the gift of charity, to be in service to our fellow humans goes even further. Holidays also seem to remind us of the those we lost and the dreams that never came into fruition. To reflect on those things is perfectly normal but to wallow in the loss and or grief is not. We should celebrate the things we have received and rejoice in the time we had with those we have lost. Remember the love they brought into your life and the change they made in both you and your life. Dreams that never become reality are but seeds for new dreams that could come true.

During this holiday season try to share your love and kindle hope in others and most of all keep the faith.

Love, Understanding, Charity, Faith and Compassion be the main theme in your daily life.

Happy Holidays

The Holiday season is upon us

HPIM0012bThe Holiday season is upon us, Thanksgiving has passed but Christmas is just around the corner. We gave thanks for the physical things we have on thanksgiving now Christmas is for us to give thanks for the spiritual salvation and for the grace we have received. It is also a time of celebrating family and friends. Those we love and a sometimes we take for granted are shown love and appreciation on Christmas. We should always celebrate the gifts of love, compassion, companionship and family on Christmas along with the gift of our savior and his message.

Though through the years Christmas has mainly became a materialistic and commercially dominated holiday it still is the church appointed day to celebrate the birth and gift of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught forgiveness, unconditional love and compassion along with the way of peace. He brought those messages along with the message of salvation to Jew,Gentile,Rich,Poor,Powerful, weak, meek and every living soul on gods green earth.

So Love without condition, forgive without hesitation and follow a path of peace.

Merry Christmas to all

The spirit in which you celebrate it

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Does it really matter that Christ wasn’t born on Dec 25th? The fact it was a birthday for a roman solar deity and the end of their festival called Saturnalia ? Well for the most part I do not believe it matters much that the date was set on the date of several ancient pagan festivals and holidays. This was done in an attempt to sway the pagans over to Christianity and it succeeded but it also brought some of the pagan traditions and beliefs into the church. Most people are not aware of the pagan origins of some of the traditions they have concerning Christmas and Easter. Being that they do not know and do not put any significance or meaning into the traditions make them pretty much mute. To celebrate the first coming of our messiah is something we all should do, To confine it to one day a year is actually kind of sad. We should celebrate Christ’s first coming every day for he brought us the teachings of the divine spirit and he became the Holy and Sacred sacrifice for all mankind when he died on the cross. He brought a message of peace and understanding to mankind, he preached to us of hope and of the kingdom to come. If that isn’t enough for us to celebrate then we are in far poorer shape than I thought.

We have far more to fear from our consumerism and greed during the holidays than the fact Christmas had some pagan influences in its adoption by the church. Rituals are just an act we do in honor or in celebration but greed is something that comes from within our hearts. So worry little about the origins of Christmas and more about the spirit in which you celebrate it.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas

We Lost The True Meaning of Christmas

c10148Christmas is around the corner and the shopping malls are busy
All the advertisement and Christmas specials are enough to make you dizzy

Bank accounts are drying up and credit cards are getting fat on the gifts we buy, Seems we all lost the true meaning of Christmas and we don’t know why.

Consumerism has replaced the feelings of family and of community across the land, Happiness is now measured by what you receive and not what you already have on hand.

Togetherness and fellowship has become ideals of our distant past, We traded those things for gadgets and toys that we know wont last.

Compassion and Charity though still present have become a rare sight, On this note I wish you a merry Christmas and a very good night

Merry Christmas All

Black Friday marks the beginning

Sgt. Joshua Seil unloads gifts at the North Da...

Image via Wikipedia

The Christmas Shopping Season is Officially Begun, Black Friday marks the beginning of the mass rush of consumers trying to get the best deals on products as gifts for Christmas. Giving gifts has been a part of Christmas for many of generations but it was meant to be just a part of Christmas not the main theme. The true meaning behind Christmas is the celebrating  the birth of the messiah, the lord Jesus Christ. The day is meant to be an expression of our joy for his coming and the grace he brought to us through his life and sacrifice.

The meaning is still there just it has become more of a side show than the main attraction it should be. Give gifts in Joy and in thanks for our savior for without his grace we would all fall short of the glory of god.

Hope all of you have a wonderful Holiday season
