Put away those excuses for they are weightless and empty.

p10213God is calling his people, Jesus is pointing the way. Answer the call to compassion, the call for forgiveness and for love. Be the loving, compassionate person God has planed for you to be. Stop letting the ways of the world keep you from your potential and put away those excuses for they are weightless and empty. Make time to be the dad, mom, brother, sister, child and friend you are supposed to be in Christ. Do your best to be what God has set before you to be. Be the teacher, preacher, advisor, thinker and/or healer he has prepared you to be.

God has set plans for your life and so have you. Are your plans compatible with God’s? If not then better make new plans and follow God’s Will.

Life is a short thing to experience

bnf0422 Your heart can guide you rightly and it also can lead you wrong, Temper your heart  with the mind  and use the heart to empower the mind. Be humble and put the ego to the back of your mind. Be compassionate and understanding so that when it is time for your judgment , you will be judged in the same manner. Be at peace with yourself so you are able to find peace with everyone and everything else. Remember life is precious and the time we have to live is short in the scheme of things. Live in love and love to live for love is the greatest power besides faith that we have been blessed with. A love with conditions is not love, it is just a complicated emotional relationship.

bnf0424Forgiveness is easy to give, therefore forgive totally so both you and the one who you forgave can move forward.  Forgiveness frees you from the hurt and  the anger you feel and releases the one you forgive from their guilt as well. Being that life is so short I myself can not see any reason to hold on to a grudge for any length of time. It consumes way too much energy and tends to make the one who carries it unhappy and/or grumpy.

p10053Cherish each moment you have with those you love and care about for there is no guarantee that you or they will be here tomorrow.  Get off your computer, tablet and put away the game system. Get out and live life instead of hiding away in your house so much. Balance the time at home and out in the world, for you don’t want to waste time nor miss out on life since life is a short thing to experience.  Most of all remember the old saying: “Life is what you make it” and then go out and make life as complete and happy as you can.

Get out and live life, live it to the fullest and do so with compassion, understanding and love.

How we influence the world around us.

062 The words you speak and the actions you take are the things which you will be remembered for when you are gone. All the good intentions in your heart can not be fruitful unless they become action or words. Words can sway the hearts of those around you and actions can be the proof of your heartfelt words you speak. Change comes from within yourself and then it begins affecting all of those who you connect with. In life we are forever learning and changing as we strive towards what we see as a better way to live. We are influenced by the company we keep and we influence them as well. How we influence and/or affect others is all up to how we choose to behave, believe and interact with the world around us.

We should try to live a good life, treat others with kindness and compassion and be an example for others to follow. Each one of us are responsible for our actions, words and how we influence the world around us. We should keep that fact in mind as we walk our path in life, for we do have a price to pay for our freewill. To be humble, kind, compassionate and full of patience is the best way to travel the path of life we walk. For too much emphasis on the self leaves one open to the possibility of vanity, selfishness and greed. Such things eventually consume the person whom embraces them and it usually leads to a lonely life.

We should never be critical towards anyone for their choice of how they wish to live and interact with the world because they are simply exercising their right to freewill. Madmen in places of power whom bring suffering to the masses put their own lives at risk and are subject to the dangers of warfare and assassination. It is far wiser to be a leader who is just, kind and compassionate towards his people. For a king who is loved by his people is a king who will rule in peace and a ruler who will be blessed for his kindness.

Maybe if everyone thought about how they affect others as well as themselves before they speak and take action, the world may become a better place to live in. If more put the welfare of others above their own wants and desires, the less we would see people in need.

For those who are special to us in life.

MP900399738Have you told  your wife, husband, lover, family, friends how much you care about them today? Have you been taking those who are important to you for granted and forgetting they need to hear and/or see how much they mean to you? Just think at any given time sickness, disaster or some uncontrollable circumstance can take one of them away from you or you from them. Life is such an easy thing to lose and is such a wonderful thing to have and / or share with others. We must remember those god blessed us with in our life can be taken away at any given time so we should thank God for them and show them how grateful we are for them being in our lives.

Be it an email, phone call or letter by post, we just need to keep in touch with those in our lives and remind them how special they are. Life is short for all of us and therefore we should cherish every moment of it with those who are special to us. We should forgive easily, anger slowly and remember we all are imperfect human beings as well. We shouldn’t be afraid to show our love for those who are special to us in life.

Be they friends, lovers or family, those who are special to us are forever within our minds and hearts.

What matters is how I act and how I treat others

002The night is coming to an end and the morning is about to begin. The sleepiness is fading with my first cup of coffee as I reflect on things from the day before. I have realized it doesn’t matter what others think about me and what others may say. What matters is how I act and how I treat others through out my life. I also found out that no matter what you do you will never meet the expectations or standards others set for you. All you can do is be yourself and do your best at what ever you do, be good and kind to others in hopes that they will return the kindness.  I also found there are several types of friends, there are acquaintances, colleagues, fair weather friends and real / close friends. The hardest to find of course are those that are close / real friends, they are the ones that tell you how it is when needed but always stick by you through good times and bad.

One must always be true to themselves and be the best person that they can be. Superficial things such as good looks, wealth and social statuses are fleeting and hallow in substance. Self love, compassion and the desire to improve ones self are almost as important as showing compassion, love and charity to others. If we can not love ourselves and / or show compassion to ourselves then how are we able to share those things with others.

Be true to yourself, Be compassionate, loving, be understanding and have forgiveness for everyone including your self.

Choice, Freewill, Respect and Kindness

jesus-christ-0206 It is the things we can make choices on in life that matter the most. The things we can make choices on we are solely responsible for and therefore we should be careful of what we choose. We can choose how we interact with and  treat others. We can be kind, loving, compassionate and peaceful with others or we can be selfish, hurtful, angry and hateful. Depending on how we treat and interact with others decides on what kind of reward we receive. Our words, thought, actions and even our lack of action can affect not only ourselves but the lives of those around us. I guess it comes down to the golden rule “Treat others as you wish them to treat you”. An old saying that has been repeated in different ways throughout history and can even be found in the bible.

I do not know why, but it seems to be kind or compassionate is seen as a difficult thing for some to do and some even see it as an unwanted behavior. Being kind, compassionate or loving is not all that hard and I see no downside to being a good-hearted person.  I rather be remembered for the kindness I showed others than to be remembered as a selfish or uncaring individual. Jesus taught us to try to be humble, compassionate, respectful and full of forgiveness. He was all of those things and more, being a Christian we are supposed to follow his example and his teachings because Christian means to be Christ like.

We are to be respectful of the choices of others even if we do not agree with them. We can only offer others the word and the path to salvation, we are not to try to force our faith and beliefs on others nor are we supposed to persecute unbelievers. We are to be gentle messengers, teachers and preachers not oppressors of others. God gave each one of us the freewill to choose to believe or not and we should respect the choices of others. If someone doesn’t want to be witnessed to we should leave them be but let them know that the door is always open if they change their mind and then we should pray for their souls.

Love the sinner, Love the lost and hate the sin within them, Offer them the word and respect their choice.

They are not even there,It is not any of our business (Turning a Blind Eye)

MP900427740Lately I have thought about how much we turn a blind eye to things in life. How we walk by so many people in need and act as if they are not even there. How many times we see a wrong being committed and we are too willing to believe it is not any of our business. According to the Bible those that are weak, those in need and those who can not take care of themselves are our responsibility. God tells us whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. The hungry you didn’t feed, the homeless you didn’t help, the person needing help you turned a blind eye to was one of God’s children and what you do or don’t do for them is what you do or don’t do for God himself. This goes for all of his children but the weak and the defenseless are the ones we should help the most.

We are also taught we could at anytime be entertaining an angel of God and not be aware of it, so we should always be on our best behavior and should live in Christ and walk in love as well as faith. Compassion, Love and being humble are just some of the attributes of a being a Good Christian. To be Christian is to be Christ like, to follow in his example and live life as close as we can to how he lived his. We should be kind, humble, compassionate and full of forgiveness like he was. We are not to have hate for any person on this planet for that isn’t our place or purpose in life. We are caretakers of this world and all that lives within it. The hardest part of being a Christian to some is letting go of their own ego and will in order to allow the will of god to guide them in life. The self is selfish by nature if not design so it isn’t easy to put it aside for the will of god or for the well-being of others. This is the reason being humble is an essential part of being a Christian, for if we are humble then the self is put in the back while those whom we need to help will become our main focus. Besides that when humble we also put God first in our life because there isn’t any distractions created by the self and its selfishness to interfere.

Are Christians Sin Free? No. We are with sin like everyone else, we fall and we are tempted. Christians strive to overcome temptation and put aside sin as we repent and by the mercy and grace extended to us by Christ we are forgiven. Though we have our salvation we still have to abstain from sin and truly repent for those sins we fall to.

Be compassionate and peaceful with all your brothers and sisters, be aware that you could see an angel of God’s and not even know it.

We are supposed to be extensions of God’s will.

The Transfiguration Lodovico Carracci 1594

Seems nowadays most people are so set on building their financial futures and working away all their days for some golden dream of financial security. Money and material possessions seem to be the main focus of a good portion of people and they seem to overlook the true riches they either deny themselves or take for granted till they are laid to waste. To provide for your family is must, but to be more concerned with material possessions than the happiness and wellbeing of others is not a good path to follow. We put aside the compassion, love and fellowship we need and deserve for the glitter and sparkle of wealth and possessions.

If we allow money and/or possessions to be our master then we are dividing our attention, devotion and love between wealth and God. If we serve God and allow him to be our master then financial security will not be a problem and our family will be our first priority after God. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? So that which you need he shall provide, he will make sure that you have food, clothes a place stay and even financial security. Have faith in the father, in his promises and in the salvation we have been given through his son Jesus. Give yourself up to his will and there will be nothing you will need or want for. There will be times you will be in doubt because you will come close to being without that which you need but keep faith and God shall provide a way to have which you need.

I know there will be many of you who will say “well why then are there starving people across the globe and homeless everywhere you look?” well that is the will of man and the doings of humanity, between our lack of faith in God and our lack of compassion for each other we have these things. God want us to help each other, be without greed and not have a cold heart. We have enough food, wealth and ability to have enough homes for all the people in our world if we chose to share and build for our brothers and sisters. Because of the greed of some governments there is a lot of starvation and homelessness on our planet. I am not saying we all are a part of the problem but I am saying we all can be a part of the solution. To be a Christian is not only going to church, paying tithes and going home, it is being active in our community and our world. We are supposed to be extensions of God’s will not just people under a steeple.

There is suffering in our world due to the sinful nature of humanity, we can have less suffering in this world if we act upon God’s will and put aside our selfish and sinful nature. Since God gave humanity freewill he gave us the choice to give in to our sinful nature or to surrender to his will. The more of us that surrender to God’s will and do his bidding the less suffering will be in this world.

Be at peace with one another, be kind to each other, show compassion to all living creates and pray that you will do the will of God.

A helping hand or encouraging word

Compassion

You are good, you did good, you are going to be okay and everything will be all right. Words we all have longed to hear at one point or another in life. We need encouragement from others and we always need assurance that everything will be all right. We should always be messengers of hope, encouragement and builders of self-esteem. We are all in this life together and each of us has both strengths and weaknesses. We all need a helping hand or encouraging word or two from time to time to help us keep the faith and so we can carry on.  We need to walk through life being compassionate towards one another, we should help carry the load of our brothers and sisters. Smile at one another, speak good words about and to each other and help each other with the burdens of life.

We need to put our selfish side of our nature aside and embrace the side of love and fellowship. We can love one another without condition and we can easily learn to be as one big family on earth. Religion, political views, nationality, race, sex or any other differences we have can easily be put aside for the good of humanity as a whole. We are all humans after all, we all share a distant but common ancestry. We all are in this together and we should be wise enough to be at peace and be compassionate with one another. There is plenty of food and wealth to go around if we learn to be as one big family. What good is wealth or abundance of food if you are not sharing those blessings with others? What good is love if it is conditional or only shared with a select few?

We are capable of such greatness but unfortunately we seem to limit our own abilities. Sad but true but I still hold hope for humanity to one day grow enough spiritually  / emotionally to become the great species we are capable of being. If we are every to grow into such a species we have to start with being compassionate with each other and with our own selves. We still have a long way to go before we become the great species of humanity.

Be compassionate, smile at one another, love one another as brothers and sisters and be charitable and generous with all.

True compassion and charity are universal

MP900427611 When you see a sister or brother in need do you walk on by? If anything you should at least acknowledge the person in need and pray for them. Personally I prefer to buy them food than to hand them money in hopes they will at least eat one good meal in a day. Some of them are alcoholics or addicts and they can not help themselves for they are slaves to their addictions. They will spend their money on their addictions and neglect the needs of their body. Many of them were hard-working people who came from all walks of life that unfortunately lost everything. We shouldn’t assume that every person who is homeless or in need are lazy or addicts. Even if all of them were, we are supposed to take care of our brothers and sisters. Jesus taught us compassion and the good book teaches us that charity is a quality we should embrace. The majority of this worlds religions teach of compassion and charity as qualities that we should embrace.

True compassion and charity are universal and global in nature, they have no limitations or discriminations. We are to love each other and take care of one another for we all are brothers and sisters in life. One day we may find it is me or you that may be in need and hopefully someone will have compassion upon us when that time comes.

You attract that which you project, how you interact with others and with this world is but a magnet for those who act the same. You attract those who are like you, so be the best person you can be.
