008Sometimes I think we get so wrapped up in what we don’t have, what we think we want and how we believe things should be that we lose sight of the things we have been blessed with. It isn’t what you want or what you do not have that matters it is the things you have been blessed with that is important. If you neglect those you love or ignore the blessings you have you may wind up losing them all.

If you think there is greener grass somewhere else then you need to wake up and see your grass is only in need of some maintenance. No relationship be it in love, business or friendship will last if it’s neglected or if its taken for granted. Love needs to be nurtured in order for it to grow and for it to last. If we all paid more attention to that which we have been blessed with we would see we really don’t need anything else to be happy. If we can get beyond the illusions of the grass looking greener in the next yard we may notice our own lawns are what we made them and what we make them is our own choice. True it takes two to make a relationship to work but it takes one to make change and inspire change in the other. Someone has to make the first move and work hard to improve the relationship. Usually if one cares and shows it the other will follow if there was love there to begin with.

Don’t let the glitter, fancy lights and other distractions pull you away from and steal from you the blessings and gifts God has given you.

Self forgiveness, why is it so important

IMG_1265-001Self forgiveness, why is it so important to forgive yourself? Well if you can not find forgiveness for yourself in your heart how are you to forgive others or to accept the forgiveness God has for you? Besides those facts, you will have to feel the guilt and/or shame of your mistake which will keep you distracted from serving God and living your life fully.  Forgiveness is a part of love, if you are having a hard time forgiving yourself you may also be having problems loving yourself unconditionally. Learn to forgive yourself for you are not any worse or better than any other human when it comes to making mistakes or sin. We all are imperfect so we all have many flaws within our self.

Don’t waste your life living in the past and reliving the mistakes you have made, repent, forgive yourself and be forgiven then go forward and avoid making the same mistake or ding the same sin. Stop being a judge of yourself and of others leave that to God himself. Be blessed, Be thankful and Love one another unconditionally.

Not only hear you but listen and surrender to your will

I see your face everywhere I go, I feel your love even in those I do not know. I long for the peace you bring and the tranquility within the love you give. The wisdom you share is beyond my mortal minds ability to find on its own. The grace you give us is so profound it is rarely fully understood. The love and compassion you taught is still practiced by some and longed for by many. The wondrous world I live in shows signs of your greatness and of your existence.

Some misunderstand your message and others seek out the true meaning of your teachings. There are those who seek war in your name and fail to see that you taught compassion and love not hate. Humanity’s blindness keeps them from living together and loving one another. We should try to work together to become the kind of people you want us to be. We shouldn’t judge one another or hate one another because of differences in belief or culture. We love, but the love we have is but a reflection of the ultimate love you have and show to us. We fail to see the freewill you granted us is for all people, regardless of nationality, religious belief or social status and only you can give it or take it away.

If we could just learn to accept and embrace your love, only if we could see the big picture and not be deceived by our small personal view of things. Just think how different this world would be, how much happier we all would become and ultimately how far we as a species could go. I guess we all need to get over ourselves and learn to not only hear you but listen and surrender to your will.

Keep faith, Embrace his love and grace. Be like a mirror and reflect both on others.

I write to Inspire, I write to Express

016I write to inspire, inspire myself as much as those who are kind enough to read my posts. I write to express the thoughts and the heart God gave me and to remind myself where my blessings come from. I write with the hope that someone may find my words useful is some way and to help me discover who I truly am within. I write because I love to write and to write is my way of showing love to myself and others. I am far from perfect and so are most of my ideas expressed in most of my posts. I claim no authority nor do I proclaim to be anything but an average man.

Cherish the blessing of having good friends

dd43853 Friendship, Something most of us take for granted and few understand its power. God gave us the ability to love one another not only as family or spouses but also as neighbors and friends. The strength we gain in friendship is a gift from God. Friendship and Fellowship is close cousins if not siblings for to have true fellowship we must have friendships within it.  God knowing we alone are weak, gave us all the different types of relationships so we can help one another through life.

RBM001122 Friends are there for one another through thick and thin, they support one another and are not afraid to tell each other the truth, Nor are they angry at each other for doing so. True friends are inseparable and are compassionate, forgiving and understanding with each other. Friends are the support network outside of the family and the church. Some friends are considered as family and are also a part of the fellowship within the church as well.

Cherish the blessing of having good friends for it is hard to make it through life without them.

Life is a short thing to experience

bnf0422 Your heart can guide you rightly and it also can lead you wrong, Temper your heart  with the mind  and use the heart to empower the mind. Be humble and put the ego to the back of your mind. Be compassionate and understanding so that when it is time for your judgment , you will be judged in the same manner. Be at peace with yourself so you are able to find peace with everyone and everything else. Remember life is precious and the time we have to live is short in the scheme of things. Live in love and love to live for love is the greatest power besides faith that we have been blessed with. A love with conditions is not love, it is just a complicated emotional relationship.

bnf0424Forgiveness is easy to give, therefore forgive totally so both you and the one who you forgave can move forward.  Forgiveness frees you from the hurt and  the anger you feel and releases the one you forgive from their guilt as well. Being that life is so short I myself can not see any reason to hold on to a grudge for any length of time. It consumes way too much energy and tends to make the one who carries it unhappy and/or grumpy.

p10053Cherish each moment you have with those you love and care about for there is no guarantee that you or they will be here tomorrow.  Get off your computer, tablet and put away the game system. Get out and live life instead of hiding away in your house so much. Balance the time at home and out in the world, for you don’t want to waste time nor miss out on life since life is a short thing to experience.  Most of all remember the old saying: “Life is what you make it” and then go out and make life as complete and happy as you can.

Get out and live life, live it to the fullest and do so with compassion, understanding and love.

Things like fellowship, friendship, family and love

dd43853 We only have a short time upon this planet to live and enjoy life. We should be thankful for each moment we were blessed enough to have and enjoy. When you really look at how short a lifetime is, it makes a lot of what we think is important seem so shallow or insignificant in the end. We pursue wealth, popularity, power and the temporary pleasures of the flesh. they all are temporary and usually leaves one lacking in happiness and wanting for more. Things like fellowship, friendship, family and love are things that can last a lifetime and beyond in most cases. What will all the possession, wealth and power give you ? Will those things last a lifetime and will they ever satisfy your thirst for love and happiness?

It is Family, friends and the experiences we have in life that will always be with us, be it in physical form or within our hearts and/or minds.

Some really Random thoughts :-)

003Live life with joy, worry not about things you can not change. Live not in the past for it only makes you miss things in the present. Life not in the future for it makes you lose sight of what matters now. Worry not about trying to change the one you love for the only one you can change is yourself. Love the one your with unconditionally and try to be the person you wish they would be. For we lead by example and tend to receive the same as we give in a relationship. Learn to forgive the one you love and your own self for we are all human and therefore we all make mistakes and poor decisions at times. Stop looking at the grass on the other side of the fence, usually it is full of crab grass. Mind you own lawn and tend it well, then you will have the greenest grass. Love relationships – Some assembly required and a lot of work is necessary. Celebrate life each day and stop worrying about death for life is what matters. Forgive and forget for the only one who is hurt by carry a grudge is the one who bears its weight. Judge not others and if you must then do it with great compassion for how you judge others is how you will be judged as well. Stop worrying over getting the newest and the fastest and learn to appreciate that you already have. Think twice before speaking and three times before acting upon your thoughts, for there is reward in being thoughtful and cautious. Do not think yourself as better or lesser than another human being for we all are born in the same way, we all strive to be happy and have potential to be more than we can imagine. Do not fall to greed for material wealth may make life seem easier but all your possessions and money are nothing compared to friendship, fellowship, family and love. A poor person can love, be loved, be happy and make a difference in this world just as well as someone who is rich.

What makes a good person good is not possessions, wealth or popularity, it is what is in their heart and how they treat others.

The memories we made will last a lifetime

003Sometimes I sit here alone just chilling to some music thinking about old friends I haven’t seen in years and all the dreams we had when we were young. I think about how many of those friends have passed on or disappeared off the radar and the few that chose to leave our friendship behind. I still call all of them friend because I believe friendships never die they just change and flow with the ebb and flow of life. I wish all of them well that still live and pray for the souls of those who no longer walk this earth. Funny even the bullies and enemies from my youth I remember fondly in one way or another and hope they are doing well in life. I guess I don’t hold grudges anymore, seems there is very little use in anger or bitterness in my life anymore. Though they pop their heads up from time to time but they have very little hold on me now days.  So many crushes and puppy loves from my past are all grown up and have teenage kids in school. So many places we used to hang out at have either changed or had been torn down at some point in time.

All the good times we had are gone, but the memories we made will last a lifetime. I am so thankful for the friends and experiences I had in my youth. I wish all those I had known happiness and peace, I pray they will have a life full of friends and the joy they can bring. God bless them all, may they find peace in your love.

For those who are special to us in life.

MP900399738Have you told  your wife, husband, lover, family, friends how much you care about them today? Have you been taking those who are important to you for granted and forgetting they need to hear and/or see how much they mean to you? Just think at any given time sickness, disaster or some uncontrollable circumstance can take one of them away from you or you from them. Life is such an easy thing to lose and is such a wonderful thing to have and / or share with others. We must remember those god blessed us with in our life can be taken away at any given time so we should thank God for them and show them how grateful we are for them being in our lives.

Be it an email, phone call or letter by post, we just need to keep in touch with those in our lives and remind them how special they are. Life is short for all of us and therefore we should cherish every moment of it with those who are special to us. We should forgive easily, anger slowly and remember we all are imperfect human beings as well. We shouldn’t be afraid to show our love for those who are special to us in life.

 Be they friends, lovers or family, those who are special to us are forever within our minds and hearts.
