A part of something bigger than ourselves.

I was laying outside looking up at the stars looking for the meteor shower last night when I remembered how I felt as a child looking up at the majestic stars in the night sky. How I felt so small and so insignificant in such a vast universe.  I saw myself as a grain of sand on a beach that had no end. A few years later in my teens I was camping and looking up at the stars and though to my self how lucky I am to be a part of something that is so huge and vast.

Strange how our perception changes as we grow older, How I went from feeling like something insignificant to seeing that all of us are a part of something bigger than ourselves. How even a small grain of sand like myself is significant in such a large universe. There is only one of me as there is only one of you. No one is the same and each of us play a part in this world and universe. Not one person is greater or lesser than another, we all are equals through our uniqueness.
