Entertaining angels

English: Old Beggar, 1916, by Louis Dewis, pai...

Have you ever looked at someone who was not dressed too well, and made a judgment about them? I think that we all have at one time or another. We see things that do not seem very pleasant to us, or what we deem unacceptable, and we have judged. It is a shame unto us, that we do this! One thing that might help us to think differently about judging people by their looks, or their circumstances, is to consider that we might just be judging angels, that the Lord, has sent as a test for us. We should remember to be kind to all that we meet, and treat them with hospitality. We should also remember, that it is one of the Ten Commandments to, Do Unto Other’s, As We Would Have Them Do Unto Us. To treat others, as we want to be treated ourselves.

We would want to be treated with love, kindness, and respect,…. regardless of our circumstances, or our appearance. We never know……we may be entertaining angels, unaware!!

Hi Ray, to be honest to me the most important thing to me is Honesty and I believe that builds Trust, it is kindness and shows t respect and real Love. Satan is the father of lies and deception and also incercerity and pietism.

A lot of people misunderstand the Scriptures in regards to judging, in Truth not to warn someone who is continuing to sin is not only disobedence but shows lack of Love, if they are not warned they may Die spiritually and to warn them we must judge that they are doing wrong but not by our own understanding but by God’s Truth and we are told to rebuke them in Love and for Love even if at times it needs to be firm.

What we are not to judge with a critical spirit is others weaknesses and shortcommings or we are judging ourselves because what we see in them is our own reflection.

Christian Love from us both – Anne
